Behind the Hotel Orania is the landlord of Schloss Elmau, Dietmar Müller-Elmau. The philosophy is “all about experiences”, as with the big brother in the Bavarian foothills of the Alps, but things are much more urban here. The location in Kreuzberg couldn’t be more contrasting and that’s exactly the goal: the contrast that makes the difference. In the restaurant, guests are not only spoiled with the cross cuisine of star chef Phillip Vogel, but the Steinway grand piano also provides the right ambience. And the rooms? The rooms are really reminiscent of the Bavarian Palace, because the famous elephant symbol is also represented in Berlin on wallpaper, blankets, pictures and wherever possible. You have to like it, the location is top in any case.
